UWATA GLORY SOUNDS STUDIO (UWATA GSS) was officially opened in October 2011, though the process of initiating was
commenced 15th November 2009.This was officially done through apointing the special committee given the whole task
of running the project -UWATA GLORY SOUNDS STUDIO (UWATA GSS). The project is the implementation of agreement reached
during 2008 UWATA annual General Meeting; that each branch should own an enterprise.Since the intiatiation of the
project the committee worked closely with the branch members to tackle all the challenges, firstly we surveyed our
environmnet and concluded that the studio should be positioned closer to the branch office meanwhile it may be on
another building but the area we looked into was busy; so we approached the owner who was also UWATA member, he
agreed under condition that we shift him to another place not so far and build the house for him. When done with
the above agreed condition we started constructing the studio building as well as its infrastructure.This project
as explained above is owned by Bethania branch in Tabata Dar es salaam though the project seemed to be at the
National level.
UWATA GSS is located at Tabata Machimbo- Mwangoka street; well known as "Kwa Walokole". The direction from Ubungo
Bus terminal or any city corner is :If you can't afford private transport then take normal city transport for Tabata
Kimanga route,then take any transport -Taxi/Motocycle explaining that you are going to Tabata Machimbo- Mwangoka
street; well known as "Kwa Walokole"its about eight hundred (800) metres from the Tabata Kimanga bus stand.
Among all activities this was the part we faced serious challenges. Our country lacks Studio Professionals
(Sound and Video Engineers) so for that fact during the beginning we couldn't find any of those professionals who had met
the standards.The search started among Uwata members but we couldn't find the one who had the required standards,we searched
even out of our organization but the one's found were very expensive.
To overcome the challenges which rose during the beginning to meet quality assurance, We planned to support our professionals to attend special training concerning studio operation through different phases, as we cannot support all of them at once. Currently we thank God we have our own specialists one on sound recording and the other for video shooting and recording.

UWATA GSS purchased very modern digital studio instruments, though as the technology grows we also have to advance our
instrument sets; but momentarily we have the best instruments country wise as well as East African zone. Some pictures of instruments
are found in the slide show above.
Sound recording is going on and some of our singers did recorded. Another serious challenge is in this department where by
most singers don't meet the needed quality standard.We should take into consideration that the only factor which can convince
customers to purchase our products is Quality!!
So even our singers before making appointment with the studio management for recording, they should be well prepared and organized, if it happens that they are corrected (they are directed which correction and modification to do before recording) they should be peaceful and thankful.

This activity has also begun and resulted into an extension of the project. We faced challenge in advertising clients
products in some radio stations we approached where our clients products were not successfully advertised. We have decided
to initiate the extension of the project by including Radio station and later followed by Television station so as to
ease the advertisement and distribution of our clients products.
We hope this activity to start as soon as possible because some of instruments used are the once used for recording which may perform both activities, may be some additional components only will be purchased.

This work is in progress and some of our clients tasks are completed. We organized a separate department dealing with
'Video shooting and recording'.You are most welcome to our studio for video shooting and recording .
We also have organized a canteen service where any one including clients and passer by may obtain canteen service.We serve
with affordable rates for a meal and beverages. You all' most welcome!!
